You decide that you'll try and swim back anyway, hoping for the best. You wade into the water hesitantly. It seems so much deeper than before, and the ground is hidden from view by silt and seafoam.
You trip on a rock in your nervousness, and a wave catches you off-balance, and as your head sinks under the water, the beauty of the blurry sunlight rippling through the waves makes you gasp. But no sound escapes and instead, seawater fills your mouth. You close your eyes and sink into the ocean.
